We are so happy to welcome Mrs. Countess Hodges to the Hope Academy School Board! Hodges has resided in Bentonville more than 40 years; however, she is a native Texan having grown up on the rim of Palo Dura Canyon. She received a BS in Education from Abilene Christian University before moving to Arkansas where she obtained a Masters Degree in Education as well as an Administrative Certificate from the University of Arkansas.
Countess retired from Bentonville Schools where she began her career as a first grade teacher, then transitioned into administration as the Director of Gifted Education, Elementary Principal and retired as Executive Director of Elementary Education. Now that she is retired, she continues to work as an Adjunct Professor for Harding University where she teaches graduate level classes and supervises student teachers in the area schools.
As a newly appointed board member of Hope Academy she will continue to be an advocate for children and support the initiatives that will enable Hope Academy to meet the needs of their diverse student population.
